Hey everyone,
been looking around for awhile to buy a telescope for hopefully under $1,000. I've read a lot of mixed reviews through-out the internet and am wondering if anybody has some real-time experience or knowledge of a good telescope for basic observation and with a decent focal length and good resolution? any recommendations?
Thanks alot

I think you should get a "Go-To telescope". Just type in your gps cordinants in the handheld computer, witch has a cataloge of the usual stuff: moon, venus etc. If you want to observe the moon you just choose moon in the menu and the scope turns to the moon. Mine works great. Get a mirrored one.
